It took mine 4 hours to reinstall ... and it still won't start. It's in some sort of error loop with this in the console log:

Tue Nov 17 16:44:56 PST 2009: Server restart in 10 seconds
./srcds_run: line 318: 6965 Floating point exception$HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Tue Nov 17 16:45:06 PST 2009: Server restart in 10 seconds
./srcds_run: line 318: 6968 Floating point exception$HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Tue Nov 17 16:45:16 PST 2009: Server restart in 10 seconds

over and over and over.
Support tickets are taking an unreasonably long time to get a response (hours).

I'm sure they are working on things guys. It's a new game, there are some problems. Just chill out :D

You don't want to go somewhere else and end up with a crappy server that dwells in lag city. Believe me I've tried A LOT of server hosts and this is the best one that I've found so far.

My server has been installing for about 4 - 6 hours. Ticket No: KWG-15476

Mine was "fixed", but it's still not showing any server files. So, I can't add my custom banner, motd and config. It's been a massive workload for them to deal with and they are trying really hard to get everything fixed up.

Hey, I was wondering how do you add a custom banner and a motd for the server?

There's quite a few different issues it seems but I wasn't expecting a flawless release and noone else should have either, especially with something as popular as L4D2. My server has eventually installed and looks to be ok now but I still can't connect, It's frustrating but i'm sure the people at GS are doing all they can.

Their customer support has been spot on in the past and it's not like they're going to be sat there having a lovely relaxing time while all this goes on. I have no doubt they are working their asses off to sort everyone out.

Exactly what was mentioned above. Please, just remember that if you are having issues to keep those tickets rolling in. We need to know of them to fix them, and with a game release such as this we are working hard to ensure everything is going well.

We are working through tickets in the order we've received them and are trying to eliminate problems as they come.
