Anyone know what the game-types are? I got banned from steam a few days ago for making a post where I jokingly said I quit my job and filed for unemployment just so I could stay home for a few months and play L4D2 non-stop. They didn't find it funny and banned me LOL (jerks).

Anyway, if someone could please list the game type that need to be added to this: sv_gametypes "coop,versus"

Maybe we don't need to add them? Or do we?

I could play every game-type and I do not have that included in my server.cfg

The following is the console print out of the sv_gametypes setting:

sv_gametypes "coop,realism,survival,versus,teamversus,scavenge,teamscavenge"

I haven't had a chance to test out the game so I'm not sure if they are all valid.

I have couple of questions on the above:

1) Do I include the quotation marks " " in the formula?

2) Do I need a space between the comma and each game type (coop, realism, survival, etc...) or keep it all together?

The lobby system is not expecting the server to limit a particular game type. That's why the gametype cvar isn't necessary to define. Even on private servers where you might only want to, say, run exclusively versus mode. The lead player defines the game specs in the lobby and that they want to play on their Steam group's server. The server changes game type, difficulty, level, etc.

Right now it's much better to under-define than to over-define in the server.cfg. Many cvars no longer work as you expect.
