Really? Don't think so, alot of people use twitter for updates.
Some TV companies, Tour de france, Our actual 'host' here in Australia who is the 3rd party of GS.
Just to name a few.

If you ask me, too many companies use twitter to get messages out instead of using their own forums or websites, which defeats the purpose of having one in the first place.. meh.

We use Twitter for quick updates, but as you can see by the popularity of these forums, we also use this as a method of communication.
