We had an issue on our server in which we couldn't input the world size into the config editor on the gameservers.com site.

Gameservers support staff ended up inputting the world size in the serverauto.cfg file. When the splash page took a nose dive this morning and displayed binary I told the server to server.readcfg, server.save and restarted it after which the splash page worked fine. However the server came back as wiped with a new world size. Apparently one of the above commands wiped the serverauto.cfg file. Editing that file fixed the issue.

What I am wondering is does anyone know more about how the backend works ie should we be using the serverauto.cfg file to edit seed/salt/decay.scale etc? Does anyone know of a resource that I can learn a bit more about this stuff?
