when people try to join our cs:go beta server it says "Game Server: is not currently playing on any game server"


already waited over 5 hours for a reply from gs.

I'm having a similar problem. Bought GO hosting yesterday and no one has been able to join my server at all. I can't even get on, myself. Gets to the Retrieving Data screen and boots you back to main menu. Support has been a bit less than helpful. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or knows a fix for it that I'm over looking?

ive had a reply from GS now, im told the server is ok now.
i dont have csgo beta key, so i have to wait for a clan member (who does have it) to try it.

ive noticed now that in my control panel, the MOD is highlighted, and im able to update the server myself.

will let you guys know if it is working.

The people from GS have told me the server's been fine 2-3 times now lol Also, I installed that mod, SteamCMD Update, updated my settings (in case), and restarted the server. I'm still having the same problem of being kicked instantly. :s

oh right, maybe mines the same. will update if any news.

i just got a mate to join my server, he said he had to join through console. soon as he got on the server 10 bots joined, he played for 5 mins with no problems.

I'm glad you're able to play now. Also, good to know that the bots join when someone starts playing; I didn't know that. But, naw even joining through console I can't connect to my server. I think it might be a problem with the actual server/IP they gave me, rather than some settings/update glitch x.X

I messed around with some more settings and found the different types of configurations. I loaded the main server command config, changed the game mode to something else, and restarted the server. Now I get a different outcome with the same result. Instead of kicking me imediately after joining, it sits on retrieving data for a while and then cannot connect. Watching console during that time shows that it's retrying to connect to the server (max of 10 times) and can't ever connect.

Issues dealing with the freely activated beta server will be looked into this week. Keep in mind that the server is up for beta testing which means there will be issues.

Can anybody see their server on the community server list? My server is up and running fine but I cannot find my server or any other GS hosted servers on the public list. Just wondering if anybody else has had this issue and have been able to fix it

I've also kind of wondered this myself. I added my server to my favorites list and it shows up there fine. But, I also looked through the general community list for it once or twice and it doesn't seem to show up.

We've recently rolled out a fix for the servers not appearing on the master server list. You should start seeing your servers there shortly.
