Yeah my ingame RCON works just fine... I was hoping to get some kind of external admin control

http://www.crysisnews.de/ has a little program called cryRcon that is supose to be an external rcon client. I tried it but couldnt get it to work with my server. Maybe they can get it fixed soon.

OK, one thing I noticed is that gameservers put the autoexec.cfg in the /game/config folder but their instructions say to put it in the Configs folder, I put the rcon crap in both.

I also got CryRcon working. The issue with the port error in cryrcon is because it won't except 4 digit port numbers, so if you are using port 9025 enter 09025. The only issue I have with cryrcon is when I refresh the player list I get a runtime error and it crashes but everything else works.

Try using any port between 9001-9050, those are open on the firewall

http_startserver port:9025 pass:yourpasshere

Same goes for RCON, they should work with any of those ports. Make sure you use different ports for RCON and WebAccess, do not use the same port.

I cannot get in game Rcon working or CryRcon for our server
i keep getting connection Failures
Can any one advise what could be the problem
CryRcon displays server staus and player list but cannot send Rcon commands to server
Help Please

Details

For those expecting a website to appear @ http://YourIP:9002
This is not the case.
The command http_startserver opens an XMLRPC port on the server to accept requests from.
The protocol is called, CryHttp.
If your server is setup properly you should recieve

When browsing to it in your web browser.
The protocol is used to send and receive chunks of information to and from that port via UDP
You can verify the status by querying your server at
http://gggeek.raprap.it/debugger/
provide IP, http server port, and change debug to yes. click execute.

If I am mistaken about all of this please let me know, but everything seems to be working on my end, I am able to see who's online, current map, kick players, send messages to the server, etc via this protocol.

Keep in mind since the dedicated server is on a remote system you wont be able to provide the location of the server logs, or configs which will allow for ping monitoring, permabans, etc. With out setting up an automated download of the server log.

I am currently working on a php class to provide the web based functionality of RConnect, but so far I am not having any luck.
