Is it just me or is everyone having lag issues - I have tried a hand full of servers and i lag super bad on everyone - what is surprising is even the sound is choppy and breaking up - My FPS is only 20 to 35 and drops to the teens...? I have a decent PC i don't think its my rig.? My fps in CoD4 is usually a steady 250 locked in....

I have my graphic settings as low as they can go here for Black Ops.

So ya WTF is up im thinking its a server issue.?????

What's your PC specs?

It'snt the server it's steam.exe process wich can't handle the charge and ask too much of the CPU, look at official steam forum

wow very disappointed so far with this game i cant believe they released this game as is, weapons feel weak, poor sound, mp is almost unplayable for a large amount of the community.! All i can say is i think Im going back to CoD2 LoL

i agree its poor that these problems exist for such a big game, it always makes me wonder what machines/environments they use to test these games internally before release. its as if they test them on a local lan only and forget the game will use the internet

anyhow, just think back to bc2 and mw2, and pretty much most PC games that get released these days, they all have big issues in the first week, a patch will be forthcoming no doubt. until then spend some time with the wife/girfriend/lover because once the game is workin properly im sure they'll be on our backs about playing it so much...

It's not just mine or yours, it's all of them. Every server we played on last night was complete lagg.
This morning it was so laggy, it said I had connection problems. I was stuck in an infinite loop jumping off a building. The remote utility kept losing connection to the server.
They need to get this fixed.
Allot of people counting on this to run our $60 worth.

What are you guys talking about, personal servers aren't even online.

It is not to do with PC specs or server configuration there would appear to be a bug in the game that is causing graphical lag spikes to a specific people. The developers have been made aware of this bug and they are looking into it.

Game is lagging .. just go to COD BO forum and see that everyone is having this problem.

So the game is able to identify specific individuals it doesn't like. As from what I've been reading it isn't just a few specific people but more a case of everyone, unless you're playing on a console in which case they don't count.

Form my small voyage into the MP side of things last night, of the 30odd people I came across on various servers all complained about spikes, so I'd say it's more a case of a specific few who might not be having issues but at least 95% of people can't play the game.

So for a large majority of us, we have spent between £30-35 on the game, and about another £100 on a server, and so far we can't really use either.

I played today with 7 clan members all good Pc's with enough specs for minimum requirements.
All have lag issues on different servers.

I think we need to be patched.

PS. Is it possible to have the maxping setting in the server changed to 100 or 150.

Just played about 5 minutes and saw no lag with 8 or 9 other players.

Would love too, however they thought it wise to shut the forums down for maintenance on release day.. Gotta love that..
